Operndorf in Cooperation with United Screens
How does a day in a filmmaker’s life look like – in India, Mauretania, and Burkina Faso? What are the circumstances under which movies are being made? It‘s these questions which led to „United Screens“ by SAVVY Contemporary.
KIFIFE program is published
Film curator and festival director Alex Moussa Sawadogo has put together 15 films by African filmmakers for KIFIFE, which will feature in the program’s first edition.
KIFIFE Festival Launched
The Kids Film Festival KIFIFE is designed to make the visual art of cinema more accessible to children and young people. Over the past six years various animation and short films were produced by children at the Operndorf School in collaboration with directors and screenwriters from Burkina Faso. Organizing an independent film festival did not only come up because of these earlier projects, but is also their result.
