3rd edition of KIFIFE: 4 – 7 may 2022

It’s movie time again at the Opera Village: KIFIFE – the Kids’ Film Festival goes into it its 3rd edition! This year we will be showing 14 short and feature films for and about children. As its name indicates, is a festival of discovery that aims to introduce African youth to the visual art of cinema.

Additionally to film projections at the Opera Village and surrounding villages, we will host three workshops on acting, animation and screenplay with filmmakers from Burkina Faso and Cameroon. Students from the Opera Village school as well as three collaborating schools from the district get a practical approach to cinema and a in-depth look behind the lens.
